Guide
Most display props fail for a reason that costs nothing to fix at the drawing stage. This guide covers what to specify, where the money goes, and the mistakes that show up after the first shipment.
Buyers usually brief a display from the product: its dimensions, its weight, its packaging. The better starting point is the shelf it will sit on — the available width, the height to the shelf above, the sight line of a standing customer, and how many facings you need. A display that fits the product but not the shelf gets stored, not used. Measure the actual fixture before the first sketch, including any price rail or lighting track that eats into the usable height.
| Consideration | Wood | Acrylic |
|---|---|---|
| Perceived character | Warm, natural, ages visibly | Clean, modern, product-forward |
| Visibility of product | Opaque — good as a base or frame | Transparent — good for 360° viewing |
| Weight | Heavier; stable on a counter | Light; needs a weighted base for tall units |
| Scratch behaviour | Dents and scuffs, refinishable | Fine scratches visible, hard to remove deeply |
| Best suited to | Gift, food, heritage, lifestyle brands | Cosmetics, jewelry, collectibles, electronics |
| Freight | Higher weight, higher cost | Lower weight, but bulky items go volumetric |
Hybrids are often the right answer: a wooden base gives weight and warmth, an acrylic hood gives visibility and dust protection. Detailed material notes are on the materials page.
If you send us items 1 to 4, we can quote accurately the first time. Start on the contact page or read the ordering process first.
There is no single number, because material, thickness, finish and packed volume move the price independently. Send dimensions, quantity and destination and you get a written quote with its assumptions stated, which is the only comparison that means anything.
Start with one sample to check proportion and finish in your own store, then order for the number of stores or facings you are actually fitting. Because MOQ is 1 piece, there is no penalty for a small first order.
Yes, and it is usually better than one display per SKU. Adjustable or removable dividers let a single unit handle a changing range, which matters for seasonal lines.
Compare material and thickness, edge finish, part count, whether freight is included, and whether the lead time is stated in writing. A lower unit price with thinner sheet and no finish specification is not the same product.
Sketches, CAD files or reference photos are all fine to start. MOQ 1 pc · 7-day sampling.
