Capabilities
Send drawings, a sketch or a reference sample — we handle design-for-manufacture feedback, material selection, sampling, tooling, production and inspection under one roof in Dongguan.
The two terms get used interchangeably, but they start from different places and that changes who owns the design work.
| OEM | ODM | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | Your design or drawing | Our existing design, adapted for you |
| Who owns the design | You | Us, licensed to you — exclusivity is negotiable |
| Tooling and fixtures | Made for your part | Usually already exist |
| Typical lead time | Longer on the first order, faster on repeats | Shorter, since no new tooling is needed |
| Best when | The product is your IP or must fit an existing range | You need a proven product with your branding |
Most projects sit between the two: a buyer brings a rough concept, we propose a build from parts we already make, and the result is effectively ODM with a custom dimension set. That path is usually the cheapest way to a first order.
DFM review is where a project is won or lost commercially. Before quoting we look at four things: whether the part can be cut from standard sheet or stock sizes without excessive waste, whether the assembly can be jigged for repeatable alignment, whether the finish is achievable on the chosen material, and whether the packed volume is sensible for the shipping method. Comments come back in writing with the quote, so you can see what changed and why.
Wooden and acrylic work rarely needs hard tooling in the injection-moulding sense. What it does need is fixtures: cutting jigs, assembly jigs and drilling templates that keep parts aligned across a production run. These are made in-house and their cost is normally absorbed into the first order rather than invoiced separately; where a custom mould or die is genuinely required, it is quoted as a separate line with ownership stated clearly.
Our system is ISO certified and inspection runs at three points: incoming material (sheet grade, board grade, moisture content for wood), in-line (dimensions, edge quality, joint alignment), and final (function, finish, packing). Inspection records can accompany the shipment where your market or your customer requires them. If you have your own inspection checklist, send it — building it into the process from the first order is far easier than retrofitting it later.
We do not reuse a customer's drawings, tooling or custom dimensions for anyone else. If you need a signed NDA before sending files, send your template and we will return it signed; if you would rather not send full drawings before commercial terms are agreed, send outline dimensions and a photo first and we will quote from those. Design ownership stays with you for OEM work.
Yes. Send your template and we will return it signed before drawings are shared. If you prefer, send outline dimensions and a photo first — that is usually enough for an indicative quote.
For custom moulds and dies we state ownership explicitly in the quotation. Fixtures and jigs made for standard production are absorbed into our process and are not invoiced separately.
Yes — that is standard OEM practice. Send artwork for the packaging and we handle printing, labelling and carton marking, including barcodes and shipping marks.
One piece for sampling and small runs. Because setup is fixture-based rather than mould-based, small first orders are practical — which is how most of our long-term OEM relationships started.
Sketches, CAD files or reference photos are all fine to start. MOQ 1 pc · 7-day sampling.
